Undergraduate Researcher, Shastri Lab, Queen’s University

- Conduct independent research on simulating a novel photonic Ising machine architecture.

- Develop Python-based simulations to evaluate performance, scalability, and applicability of the architecture to various combinatorial optimization problems.

-Apply advanced deep reinforcement learning methods using PyTorch in ongoing research involving Ising machines.

- Present findings in lab meetings to contribute to group research efforts and guide future development.

Undergrad Research Assistant, Queen’s University

- Conduct research under Dr. Ivan Iorsh on the transverse field Ising model with periodic driving, focusing on non-equilibrium dynamics.

- Simulate system evolution in Python and analyze excitation probabilities and thermodynamic properties.

- Prepare figures and analyses for a manuscript in preparation for peer-reviewed publication.

Research Assistant, SNOLAB, Sudbury

- Designed and implemented a cooling system for the photomultiplier tube (PMT) testing setup as part of the nEXO collaboration at SNOLAB.

- Enhanced Python scripts for PMT data analysis to improve accuracy, automation, and efficiency.

- Documented my work by writing a report and giving a presentation at the end of my term.

- Developed 30+ math and physics documents for Maple Learn and a blog to engage and attract new users.

Simons SCEECS Summer School, San Antonio 

- Selected as the only Canadian student to attend the Simons Collaboration on Extreme Electrodynamics of Compact Sources (SCEECS).

- Completed intensive lectures and tutorials on extreme astrophysical and laboratory plasmas, including MHD, shocks, turbulence, reconnection, relativistic flows, and laser–plasma interactions.

- Selected to a design team of Canada’s largest Artificial intelligence student run organization for high achieving talent in tech as a developer.
